Sanusi's Claims On The Introduction Of N5,000 Notes by Nobody: 2:35pm On Sep 16, 2012 |
Since Sanusi claims higher denomination will not "cause inflation" but he failed to tell the part that higher denomination will also NOT reduce inflation. (stagnant) Sanusi in his sensitization seminar organized in Lagos for group of economists whom i believe have been given 'kola nuts' prior to the seminar, also said higher denomination will reduced cost of banking; as it will be easier and cheaper to transport bulk of N5k notes . These economists failed to ask Sanusi if the introduction of N5k notes will reduce the demands for other lower denominations? If No, that means nothing has changed , these banks will still have to transport the same quantity of lower denominations as they've been doing. Sanusi , said Obasanjo has introduced more higher denomination than all past leaders put together, i.e N20, N100, N200, N500 and N1000, he is absolutely right. But if you sum up all the denominations ever introduced in this country i.e (1/2kobo+1kobo+5kobo+10kobo+25kobo+50kobo+N1+N5+N10+N20+N50+N100+N200+N500+N1000 = N1,886.92kobo approx.) it is nothing compared to the sky rocketing N5,000 note. Sanusi said Obasanjo and Critics are bad economists, it is my assertion that Sanusi and GEJ are badder economists. We should think outside the box. |

Now this one is classic. Your point is what? and the way you summed up all the denomination values just simply amuses me. Nigerians. |
