It has been great to read you guys post, but i think it depends on the people involved.supposed the guy can cope with gossip and the gal's immaturity bcoz most of the gals in sch have not yet understand what they want since they can still get dozen of toasters in a day coupled with the mentality of being a queen in them.I met my gal-friend immediately we got admission in 2008, the relationship witnesses jealousy from many ladies in the class coz no one believes that we could make it.She started with 2nd class lower division and i with 2nd class upper, that is what we maintain till will write the final exam today.Though marriage is in God's hand but we've known each others family. so it all depends on the parties involve.

I cannot speak in general but in my experience, these kinds of relationships can work out

Met my boyfriend in the first month of Uni in class and five years later we are still together. We both graduated with a first class, both got excellent jobs prior to graduation. We are now working and still happily together.

I think university or class is a great place to meet a potential mate for life. After Uni and work starts, the pickings become very slim. I will advise my daughters to do this also. All these rubbish "Face your studies" advice is why some people remain single for so long.

It is possible to be career oriented and have a romantic relationship.

Well, from personal experience, I will say YES. My wife of several years now was my classmate in the University. We started dating in school, though at 500 level, served in the same state and got married 2 years after. We are currently having a swell time in our marriage. Look, on our last vacation in the UK, an older cousin of mine having observed closely how my wife & I relate like friends, exchanging banters with reckless abandon,could not help but marvel and I want to believe the years we have spent together especially from school days have helped in building the relationship. You guys need to just make it work and prayerfully too.Your priority though must be to complement each other academically as that is your primary reason for being in school. It would not make sense if you sacrifice good grades at the altar of 'love'. Good luck.

If that is how you did yours, then how did you study your present wife to make sure that you two are compatible. No wonder the rate of broken marriages is high.
