A mild drama ensued this morning in the complex where my office is located. A young sales girl in a recharge card distributor's office, lost about N1.2 million worth of recharge cards to a theif. As the story goes (na tell, they tell me o ), she was attending to the 'customer' when her boss called her; b4 she could say "ye-pah" the guy was gone with the recharge cards. Now everybody wants 2 know what her boss will do; some say he'll lock her up (how that will generate N1.2 mill, I never know ), others say he'll make her work - off the money (she earns like 25k per month, so 1.2 M/25k = . . . .slavery? ). If na me (correct person whey I be ), I'll hug her and tell her it's ok then gather everybody around, hold hands, light candles and sing 'kumbaya'. . . .yeah rite . So if na u, wetin u go do the girl?
