@Urfriend: I think is better for HiTV to have one or two email address for [/font]recharge and activation purposes.
Or better still, HiTV should add a webpage to existing website also for recharge and activation purposes.[font=Lucida Sans Unicode]

The Free DSTV are on Eutelet W4 12.282 H, there are about 10 free stations.

The quality I get on those channels that just dropped in from dstv are between 28-30 percent max and so the picture jerks and breaks.

Is yours the same? Am using strong decoder.

Is there a way to improve the signal quality?

The signal quality is okay, it is around 56-58%. The pictures are crystal clear.

what is the signal level of your HiTV station? because if your dish is not well positioned, the DSTV signal will not be clear.

Hey Sology,

I think for you to get the DSTV free stations you need to reposition your dish. My HiTV signal is 88 - 89% (11.900) and 92-95% (12.130).
My polarization is H.

The Channel O on 12.472 H has been scrambled but you can still get Channel O and eight other stations on E. W4 12.282 H.

The channel o switches to Magic world at times. Once the station is encrypted/scrambled, the dollar sign should appear.

Am impressed with the work HITV is doing, improved programming,a lovely website now better than before, i hope they can maintain its functions of the websites, Especially EPG (Electronic Prog Guide) is very necessary so as to follow events as they unfold on their channels.
Another area they should into now, is quick payment of subscription via ATM, scratch cards and online services. I think dat will go a long way to enhance
their operations. just like MyTV Africa.
Good Job, they should continue to work hard and there is still room for improvement. As for the hitv magazine, hope it starts working soonest.

I told a friend thats what they were trying to do, give those of us(FTA users and hitv viewers who always search for new channels) a peep into their offering.
