CTOBER 11, 2012 has been agreed upon by President Goodluck Jonathan and the leadership of the National Assembly for presentation of the 2013 budget proposal to the joint session of the legislature.

The new date was reached at the meeting held between him and the National Assembly yesterday in the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He was to present it October 4 but the exercise was put off due to the insistence of the House of Representatives that issues bordering on the implementation of budget 2012 had to be sorted out first.

It specifically said that it was embarking on oversight of projects to ascertain the level of implementation of this year’s budget by ministries and agencies.
