Three University of Port Harcourt students named Ugonna, Aladdin and Chidiaka were this morning badly beaten and burnt alive by indigenes of Aluu community for allegedly stealing phones and laptops in an off campus hostel.

Instead of calling the police and getting them arrested, these people put tyres over the heads of these students who were not armed and burnt them.

Then they took pictures, filmed it and spread it around. This happened today in Port Harcout. We are gradually losing our humanity in this country. The boys were all in their early 20s.

And the boys weren't armed ? This is pure wickedness walahi!

You're placing a tyre round the neck of that young boy, in preparation to burn them all alive (even a goat is killed first), and you don't pause for a second to think of Christs' admonition that 'he without sin should caste the first stone'......and that forgiveness is the Christian thing to do?

And just look at the way people are standing by like say they're Roman citizens waiting to be entertained at the Colliseaum.....nobody prepared to make those murderers see reason, and spare those boys lives.

If these boys had been cold-blooded killers, i can try and understand the anger in the hearts of those executioners......but they were just common criminals that a bit of formal justice, rehabilitation and help could make them change their ways.

The police need to identify these murderers and bring them to justice; but i'm not holding my breath.
