U can google federal government BEA scholarship to get info about it.

Well,its kinda a scholarship to study in some European and Asian countries which includes Japan,China,Turkey,Russia,Ukraine,Algeria,Cuba,Morocco etc...all without paying just on scholarship awards. They are some criterias which u must possess to qualify for the selection test.
1.U must hav a minimum of 5 A's or B's in ur relevant subjects at only one sitting.

its for both undergrad and postgrad...dey hav defereent req.

Scholarships are been offered for PhD programs but mostly given to graduates from Russian Universities and beneficiaries of BEA undergrad scholarship due to knowledge of Russian Language as the programs are been offered strictly in Russian Language.

Thanks Bayo 4 the concern. I have 2 waec results, waec gce 2010 with 8 distinctions and a c in biology and waec may/june 2011 with 8 distinctions and a c in english. I had 7b's and an A in the formal and 4 A's and 4 B's in the latter. Advice me on which 1 2 use in applying 4 BEA mechanical engineering 2 russia. Also,what are the subjects written in the aptitude test? Thanks

I advise you use the WAEC GCE 2010 as you are applying for Mechanical Engineering. I applied with almost the same WAEC result only that I also have C in Economics. There was no aptitude test during my time hence I know nothing per aptitude test. Good luck!

You stand a good chance to study as I believe your Maths can compensate for your further maths. Just be hopeful. The study is not in English hence C in English lang should not pose a problem especially if you are studying engineering. This is my personal opinion.

I will advise you to give it a shot. The program is not in English Language so they can be lax on the english requirement. Proficiency in French is also a plus which can be considered. You have nothing to loose, It's better to try than not to try at all.

osram: Pls how much is d medicals?

The medicals for the initial application is always done at a Government teaching hospital. At a later stage during Visa apllication you will be required to go for some medical tests at a Russian-owned hospital at VI, Lagos. The cost I dont know now but believe not more that 20k. At this stage you are rest assure that you have gotten the scholarship unless if you fail the medical test. Good luck

I dont think international passport should be needed at this stage but I will advise you to get one as soon as possible. With less than 20k you will get an international passport at Ikoyi, Lagos. If you want I can link you up with someone there to help.

I need a quick opinion on this which is that what I have is a photocopy of my transcript,is that enough or do I need to go and apply for new transcript in my school.I mean is "is original copy of transcript required on the interview day?"
