There is Heavy Panic in Benin City as at this moment as the major streets is being overflooded water as a result of a heavy down pour. It seems this is the 1st time of its kind as most residents seems to be caught off guard. Oh God have mercy!!!

The gutters are flooded, the rivers (natural drainage channels) where the gutters empty into are flooded. So what do you expect them to do?

We should be asking what's the cause of all this flood? Knowing the cause would help in getting a good solution.

What i see here looks more to me like blocked drainages. This is no flood. Are governors looking for flood funds from adenuga and co. Sorry, they wouldn't get a penny.

auto experts. all these cars that get submerged in water , how does it affect the cars ? are the cars drivable afterwards ? do the engine start to rust ? do these cars become damaged property ?


also houses that get drowned ? how does it affect the house ? do the walls start to crack ? is that house evr the same again ?

Proper planing of the city layout is what will need in this Country, most of our cities are not proper plan so no way for drainage and proper water channel to avoid this kind of situation.

THough deltans were even battling with flooding issues before now.

i hope this don,t cause some kinda epidemic, reptiles (snakes and scorpions) will be so exited to bite into humans with all that smelly pit latrines and shit from the bushes mixed together..deltans should go and get some kinda injection for prevention against bacteria..and what are the goverments doing to help these people? if this was here in england we will be suing the local council for this

This is not a joke men! Erosion has always been a problem in benin and the drains are blocked as a result of refuse, so where will d water flow to? The rains of yesterday was terrible,I think its part of d global problem. All these flooded areas are dried today!
