Day Umana, Akwa Ibom SSG shared N50million to youths Ahead 2015 guber polls

Is the Governorship position of Akwa Ibom State for sale? That is the questions close political watchers in Akwa Ibom State are asking following last Friday’s bizarre incident which occurred in Uyo, the state capital.
Informed sources hinted Naijaleaks more than 100 youths gathered in the conference hall of the Monty Suites at about 3pm at the instance of the Secretary to the State Government Obong Umana Okon Umana. The event was coordinated by Hon Onofiok Luke, member representing Nsit Atai LGA at the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly, and a former Youth Caucus Chairman Mr Emmanuel Bassey aka Iraq.

Our sources said four youths drawn from each of the Local Government Area in State attended the session.

The SSG addressing the youth said he was mandated by Governor Godswill Akpabio to hand them a special token as an incentive and gift ushering his bid to contest in next Governorship election in the State.
