we all read about the aluu incident about 4 students being burnt alive for an accusation that was believed to be false. as if that was not enough to turnish the image of Nigeria another video was posted of a girl being stripped naked and molested by a lynch mob over this weekend and it has come to my attention that this is one of the many incidents that happens when a woman or girl is accused of theft. some may blame it on the political leadership and poor performance by the police but the fact still remains, if you are human you would want to be treated like you are human even when you do something morally unacceptable. to the men who killed the UNIPORT students it was simply extreme misplaced aggression and anger, not an act of justice. the men who stripped the girl at alaba market resulted from a lack of self-control of their sexual drive, because an act of theft whether true or false can never be justified by sexual assault. 2 wrongs can never make a right. people resort to 'jungle justice' because they know that they can commit a crime that way and evade justice. where an opportunity to commit a crime is given men tend to use it to their own advantage recklessly. its very easy to do something and blame it on external factors rather than taking responsibility for one's own actions
