Fela Kuti was the most popular notorious musician in Africa. Born in Abeokuta, Nigeria in 1938, was a singer-composer, trumpet, sax and keyboard player, and bandleader.
He was probably the only band leader in the world to be charged with sedation, armed robbery and adoption, tried twice for treason.
