How many Nairalanders went out to vote their states' representatives and how many of those who voted actually cared about the educational background of the elected ? These people find their ways into the Assembles because of our collective actions and inactions so to blame Nigeria and call Nigeria names is like calling yourselves stupid. Its a shame that those who insult their motherland do not understand they insult their nature.

Fine, Hon. Rotimi Makinde might be a disgrace to Osun state in other regards ( which is even subject to arguments) but based on the context of this thread and the points raised, what you wrote up there is a bloody lie. Although, He ( Rotimi) is on the average side intellectually, he does not fit the kind of picture you are painting for him. You should have better ways of vexing your anger and hatred for people rather than spreading falsehood.

It seems nobody is rooting for the "uneducated class" in Nigeria! Does it mean that if u can't express yourself in English, then you don't have anything good to offer even in your mother tongue? I beg to differ! The literates have "dethroned" the illiterates in almost all aspects of life such as trailer driving, pastoring in churches, company security men, cleaners in banks, village kingships, politics, herbal medicine practice and recently, the laptop clutching native doctors! #GiveThemBackTheirLives.......Hunt them no more plssssssss.

We do attach so much importance to higher paper qualifications ,but problem in the house of assembly is not about paper qualification the members have or have-not, because a good percentage of them there who are formally educated or claimed to be, are not doing better than the non-holders of higher paper certificates amongst them . What we lack ,and need in the house are men and women of who possesses intelligence ( one can become intelligent either through formal education or self education ) , not brilliant ( bookish ) but dull entities who are/will be worse off the real stark illiterates . Leadership is congenital .

Wait o!for crying out loud,na today we know all these?there was a certain Hon Patrick from Edo who was even voted twice(a period of 8yrs)by assumingly literate electorate into d House of Rep only to go ands start speaking Greek and even our own NTA even showed some of his insane displays to d whole world as vibrant politiking.dis same clown headed so many sensitive committees for several years and formulated policies for us all.By d way our so called Aso rock is inhabited by one of d most educated unbelievable first lady in d world.sometimes u have to think its all a bad dream!carry on Naija.d comedy without interlude.

This is why nigeria would continually remain a failed state,you're holding brief for a semi-illiterate who should have been no more than a councillor at best just because you've been a beneficiary of his stolen wealth. what are his qualifications? post it on here for nairalanders to verify
