PURPOSE: Receive and payment of cash / cheques transactions.
Attend to customer request and client issues.
Handle telephone calls
REPORTS TO: Branch Administrator
SUPERVISES: None.
DEPARTMENT: Operations
LOCATION: Branches

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Open and close of teller batch for the day’s operations.
• Payment of cash and cheques withdrawal to customers.
• Received of both cash and cheques deposit into customers accounts.
• Register of all cash transactions in their respective registers and balance registers daily.
• Posting all customers’ transactions.
• Check customer’s balance and verify customer’s signatures.
• Ensure cash analyses are done on all cash transactions.
• Call over of daily transactions.
• Escalation of issues bothering on cash theft, lose, shortages/ overages.
• Carries out other tasks as assigned by the branch administrator.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum of OND, HND or BSC in Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or related fields with numerate coursework
• Excellent computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
• One years’ prior experience in the Banking profession is a plus
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good time management and planning skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Honest
