Job was a great man after the heart of God; a very rich man with great family, flocks of sheep, cattle and servants. "He was in fact the richest person in that entire area" Job 1:3

He had seven sons, 3 daughters, 7000 sheep, 3000 camels, 5000 teams of oxen and 500 female donkeys and employed many servants. (That is a classic example of a rich man).

His sons had feast (party) everyday of the week, each son chooses his own day to throw is own party where guests are entertained.[http://www.ackcity.net/alwayspraisegod.htm]

In some situation, resist the devil. He will flee away from you.

You should only praise God for what did, does and will do. You shouldn't praise him for what satan does.

In the case of job, he needed to stand against satan and rebuke him. Unfortunately he did what ignorant believers do best : thank God for what satan does.
As the story reveals,in the entire book of job,he didn't know that satan was the actor behind his predicaments.sad to say it,he died without knowing it just like Hosea 4:6 tells us.
