Driver training and certification has a major part to play in keeping the roads safe. I will in the next few months look at road traffic crashes in the world and try to draw a correlation between driver training and road crashes, which will show that in countries where there exist structured and training and testing/certification regimes, the road traffic crash rates are lower. The series will end by proffering solutions to tackling our road traffic crashes, using the driver training approach.
