Seun, you can't compare Facebook with Nairaland which is a faceless forum, a lot of racist, tribalistic and ridiculous posts which usually have plenty of likes need to get some unlikes as well.

Truth is a dislike button serves no practical purpose other than being another avenue of displaying your hatred, anger, frustration...etc, on a post made by someone you probably don't like.

If you don't like what someone posts, ignore it - it's actually pretty easy. You must not comment on every thread.

If you disagree with what someone says, a better way to deal with it if you must comment, is to counter it logically. If you can't, remain mute.

A dislike button wouldn't be advisable.
