It is now official. The much speculated rumour about Apple coming out with a mini version of the Apple Ipad Tablet has finally been laid to rest.

Apple officially released the 7.9-inch Ipad Mini earlier this week much to the glee of Apple fans worldwide who can now take pride in the mini tablet in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Tabs and the Google Android Tabs. The market availability of the tablet is scheduled to begin on November 2, 2012. Here are some of its cool features.

It has a 7.9-inch LED-backlit IPS screen with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. It has a pixel density of about 163ppi.The tablet is powered by Apple A5 chipset, and has a 1GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor. It also comes with a PowerVR SGX543MP2 graphics and a 512MB RAM. It also carries the same lightning port as the Iphone 5. The mini tablet features a 5MP (iSight) rear camera that is capable of 1080p video recording, and a front facing 720p face time camera. The Ipad mini will have a 16GB, 32GB, 64GB non expandable memory and will be available in black & white colors only.
