geeez:

Here you go dumbie

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nigerian_states_by_GDP

And check the NBS site. The SW has the lowest rate of unemployment and poverty in Nigeria compared to other regions, Igbos are the laziest set of people I know. They just wanna get rich without working

The bolded is wrong. If you talk about dirty environment like the one the op posted above I might want to agree with you but calling igbo lazy is out of it ♏ãn. The average igbo is very much aware of his business environment while Yoruba ♏ãn stand aŋԂ watch wink

Igbos are not Lazy, they are the most hard working set of people we have in Nigeria.

The Hausa ♏ãn will say; if you visit a place aŋԂ you did not see an igbo ♏ãn there, run away immediately grin

But the picture is a disgrace to the Igboland sha lipsrsealed

I am not yoruba, but your bashing of a region that is making giant strides in development compared to yours that is retrogressing in ever human facet will yield you nothing! Accept the truth, infrastructure wise, your governors are short changing you seriously compared to other parts of Nigeria. Even though every part of Nigeria is seriously being short changed,I think South East is a disaster in the making!

Change south east to biafraland.

I can not be deceived by any body. Yes I live in the UK, but I visit Nigeria always and each time I visit, I tour places, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Anambra, P/H, Abuja, you name it and I see things for myself. From my visits, I know areas that are making progress albeit very slow progress and I also know areas that are retrogressing at gear 5! And certainly, South Eastern part of Nigeria is in retrogression!

Waste Management in Contemporary Nigeria: The Abuja Example
Oyeniyi, Bukola Adeyemi
doctoral candidate, Institute of History, University Leiden, the Netherlands.

Introduction.
In a recent online survey by the Sahara Reporters, an online news media focusing on
Nigeria, Ibadan and Lagos were described as the filth centers of the world. While Ibadan ranked
as the number one dirtiest city in the world, Lagos, despite being the economic hub of Nigeria,
was ranked fourth dirtiest city in the world. While the survey failed to enumerate the parameters
with which it came about its conclusion as well as other cities and nations ranked in the survey, it
nevertheless revealed one important fact – the fact that Nigeria is faced with the problem of
waste disposal and management.

How Do We Rid Ibadan of Filth
Posted on May 24, 2012 by Alas

Oyo State Governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi

Ibadan the Oyo State capital, which incidentally is the largest metropolitan area in whole of Nigeria also ranks top of the list of the filthiest state in the country.

Past and Present administrations in the state have done and are still doing all within their powers to rid the ancient city of dirt, but all efforts seems not to be yielding any result as the situation seems to be getting worse by the day.

The filth that seems to have just engulfed the city of Ibadan all of a sudden is not something that has just surfaced but rather has been accumulating for a long time without a check being put in place to ensure we maintain a healthy and disaster free environment.

That is false! The world dirtiest city is Baku, Azerbaijan. In Nigeria the dirtiest city is Port Harcourt - according to Google search!

The way some Nigerians go on and on about Igbos migrating and living elsewhere in Nigeria other than the SE (and leaving the SE to be underdeveloped, or so they say), one would think that:

1. There is no abundance of non-Igbos living in the south-east, living, working, with everyone minding their business.
2. The vast majority of Nigerian regions outside the south-east are far from being remote, rural, and underdeveloped.
3. That there are no other Nigerian groups known for their migratory culture.

And we question whether the average Nigerian has an IQ of 69.

Whilst your point is valid, however, any visitor to NL who reads the comments by igbos on here would think true to their words, Aba was another dubai cry ...hence this picture is generating so much bashing on Igbos. Ordinarily, one would think any sane human being would deplore the governor, LG chairman, House Rep, Senator, House of Assembly members than come from that state, constituency, etc, but no.. the igbos are busy comparing it to some other dirty places in Lagos or Ibadan... living in denial of their pigs pegg..
