Position: Senior Production Support Engineer

Duties
Maintaining and improving internal back office software and related systems under guidance from Senior Software Developers and Team Leader.
Ensuring that maintenance, improvements and actions on live servers do not introduce new software defects or affect the business negatively.
Implementing solutions for functional and technical specification documents as provided by Business Analysts.

The Candidate
Solid understanding of Microsoft .NET platform and Framework, working knowledge of web services and messaging architectures.
The ideal candidate will have minimum 7 years’ experience in software development, including 5 years’ experience with MS SQL servers, SSRS, SSIS and be able to demonstrate the following:

Minimum
5 years software development on web applications
C# / ASP.NET, SQL (T-SQL)
5 years’ experience with HTML, JavaScript, Cascading Style Sheets, XML, JQuery
Minimum 2 years’ experience with WCF/MVC/LINQ
Minimum 1 year experience with NServiceBus
Minimum 3 years’ experience of Agile programming methodologies
Experience with test-driven development and the use of N-Unit
Knowledge of Object-Oriented design principles
Knowledge of development methodologies, including Agile methodologies
Multi-tasking time management for new development and on-going support.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
Experience with PHP, MySQL and Linux will be an advantage

You should be an experienced Systems Administrator willing to roll up your sleeves to work on projects both small and large, locally and internationally. Good communication skills are key as you will be working with all members of the Wonga team, from junior members to executive level, to manage the day-to-day running of our office systems.
