I've submitted countless applications for a lecturing job but yet to be invited for an interview my PhD in view notwithstanding. So how best should I go about this my dream of being a lecturer?

Are there no lecturers in the house please share how u got urs perhaps we can get tips 4rm there on how to get ours

Here is my 2cents. What school are you currently doing your Ph.D? What school is your alma mater? Those are your 2 best bets, you dont need to wait till you see a vacancy before applying, talk to the dean of the faculty you want to lecture in and any other person you know before applying, they will make a case for you and if they care about you enough, they can convince the VC that you are actually needed. if u are doing a fulltime phd,i don't think it would be a problem gettin an asst lecturer position in d very dept u are.nevertheless,get in touch with profs,supervisors & hods of sculs u did ur degrees in. u can also try the higher institutions in ur state of origin if it is different from where you had ur degrees.make sure u're percieved to be humbe,hardworking & intelligent.i wish u d best sir.we surely need more piple wit a passion 4 d classroom.

Thanks all I now have a lecturing job by God's grace. It's a private university though, still hope to migrate to a federal one. Thanks again!
