SWIMMING AGAINST THE CURRENT III

MEMORY VERSE: Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Renewing of the mind is vital as the outcome of the life of a man is a direct reflection of his thoughts. Proverbs 23:7 says “as a man thinks in his heart, so is he…”

God can’t effect changes in a man’s life until his thought pattern is altered. Matt 9:17 says “Nor do men put new wine into old wine skins; else the wineskins burst, and the wine runs out, and the wineskins perish. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved together.” New wine is representative of the move of the Spirit and the Holy Spirit can’t move in your life until you change the way you think. Wineskins are the containers that hold thoughts. Thus, until you change the container that holds your thought, God can’t do anything in your life.

3John 2 says “Behold, in regard to all things I pray that you prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers”. The mind is the beginning of prosperity in the life of anyone. God won’t make you prosperous until you change the way you think. If he decides to bless you regardless of your mindset, the wine skin will break.

CONFESSION: My mind is empowered to function at the capacity God desires for me.

PRAYER: Father I declare in the name of Jesus that I have the spirit of love, of power and of a sound mind.
