It seams like a battle these days.. Between telecommunication giants...first it was symbian(founded by nokia) But it seams it on it's fast track to extintion.... And now the competition is between Blackberry OS, android OS, apple's iOS.. Window phone 7... Nokia on partnering with Microsoft gave birth to window 7....which succeeds symbian... Window 7 is a close source operating system unlike symbian which was an open source source OS.. And can also be found on some samsung,sony ericssion and some other device.. ... ANDROID is an open source operating system back by google... Apple is also a close source operating system..16% of all mobile device are iphone and ipad running iOS.. Blackberry's running this closed-source operating system make up 15% of all mobile phones.Blackberry RIM began as an enterprise solution, and still is for the most part, but a consumer base has developed. Businesses like Blackberry RIM because enhanced end-to-end encryption is standard with BlackBerry Enterprise Server. This system supports over 15,000 applications, and over two million are downloaded daily.. There are several OS though..
