4 point agenda

1 POWER - No society can fully develop without a steady supply of power. If Nigeria fixes her power problem, about 30-40% of the country will be solved, there will be an increase in production and become very attractive to foreign investors.

2 EDUCATION - education is the foundation of every society, the importance cannot be over emphasized.

3 CORRUPTION - corruption is a cancer eating away
the life of the country, it should be surgically removed.

4 SECURITY - so, so important. The whole police force needs overhaul because at the moment, they can't be described as a police force. There should be proper training for officers so they can't effectively tackle crime and stop killing Okada people and blaming accidental discharge.

This thread is just a confirmation that our president does not indeed know what he is doing there or why he was elected, since mere people like us are asked to help him set his priorities almost two years since he was sworn in as president and more than 3years as acting president.....

Actually, he hasn't caused any new problem but he certainly hasn't solved any old one either so its basically same of the same. I don't support calls for his resignation though; won't solve or achieve anything.

Priority One... POWER With great POWER comes development..

Solve power and;

1. Small & large scale businesses would flourish, as it is cheaper to pay for public power than to fuel and maintain generators..

2. With the small and Large scale industries flourishing, more Jobs would be created which would also greatly reduce unemployment rate..

3. If unemployment reduces, crime will drop.

4. If crime drops, that makes Nigeria safe for foreign investors to come in..

5. Foreign investors come in and the economy will improve..

ADD Corruption to this and voila, we are heading somewhere.. Add Education (Free basic education (Primary & secondary), then scholarship and loans for University and technical schools..

First and foremost:
An SNC i.e Sovereign National Conference: Let us set out some weeks to iron out issues relating to whether the 'federating ethnic nationalities' are ready to stay together as one nation. If THEY ARE READY which i sincerely doubt then we can practice true Federalism and Resource control as it were. Let every Federating unit fend for themselves....PEACE!!

Its very suprisn dat at this juncture & time u r still havn expectatns & hopes of a drownin man who cannot help himself talk less of u, a man dat cannot see beyond himself, some1 who is jst as clueless as d common man on d streets, no vision, focus & will power!
For me do not expect anytn from this guy,cuz this is a govt is beginin to loose it popularity, due to its inept will power to safe its own self from itself,GEJ is a drowning man.
What GEJ cannot do in 6months he can never do it in 2terms of 5years each, some pple fail to realise dat GEJ has failed even at d simplest act of politicking which he ignorantly dabbles into, which has made him a laughn stock by all & sundry so much dat each so called group or groups of pple(stake holders, elders forum, elites) could walk up to him & box him into givn into their selfish demands at d expense of d ordinary nigerian, this govt is notn short of an elite branch of nigerias. ruthless political class in power.
If we look closely at his antecedents pre & post his assumption to power then we wold realise dat TB joshua,Adeboye or any other MOG need not tell us dat until we stop all these north vs south bickering! And d youths mobilise to search n come up wit who we want n not whom any useless PDP, or ACN churn out to us, because we own this country & not them we r d future n they r d past who donot dictate a future of a nation which probably many of them will not see.
Finally for those of u expectn from GEJ, toh! Keep on waitn n prayn eh,& intercedn,& doin night vigil, fastn & prayers & pourn holy oil, water &handkerchiefs for a miracle is goin to happen, keep on Expecting from a man who said that our january subsidy protest was stage managed,& that terrorism has come to stay & he doesn't give a damn abt declaratn of his assets! A man that has nt implemented 1 page of various comitee reports in his presidential drawer, a man who will still ask u for mandate come 2015,this time maybe he will tell us he had no pocket money.

He should tackle corrouption sincerely and everything else will fall into place.

Lack of electricity, security challenges are all offsprings of a critically coroupt system.

What needs to be done in this country is so much that if all the funds are judiciously used, and corrouption is to the barest minimum, UNEMPLOYMENT WILL ALSO DISAPPEAR.

Do we all know that AJAOKUTA alone if up and runing can employ all our engineering gradutes in one scoop and there will still be space for those yet to graduate?

One Point Agenda - Fix Power Supply

Economists will tell you that a country's GDP is positively correlated to power supply. If he fixed power, cost of manufacturing and production will improve. This will make existing companies more profitable and enable new companies to come up. Employment will greatly increase.

Increased employment will lead to reduced crime and this leads to improved security. Improved security means investors with capital will be more willing to invest in Nigeria and fund various projects including health projects, education etc. This funding will improve other sectors and make Nigeria a better place.
