Feed And Train The Poor (FTDP), is a non-profit Organization under the non-profit Africa Commission Charter . Focused on sustainable grassroots projects that provide long-term results to African Child current problems. We work directly with the communities ,Orphanages ,we serve in order to make them active and accountable for their own progress.
FTDP take in abandoned children into our orphanages in order to their offer a better future. Our Vision as a non-profit is to help orphans (the poor) children in Africa. Our objectives is to provide shelter, school supplies, materials for recreation and others.
Since 2006 We ( FTDP ) have been working with Africa's children in places such as Sudan, Uganda, Kenya ,Rwanda ,Ghana and Nigeria..In the last year We have focused on "the Kid's born into the Slums" of Kampala. Presently We work with a Various Orphanage organization in Africa that has helped many African children to break out of the chains of poverty through educational empowerment.
Children need a chance in life, being born into the slums of Africa simply means absence; absence of toilets (60 of children in slums have no toilets or pit latrines), absence of clean drinking water (water costs money and is carried in jerry cans which often develop mold and mildew and often lack a closure), absence of proper hygiene due lack of water, absence of schooling due to lack of money in the family even though education in countries such as Uganda is free for primary education, it costs money for many other things (67% of girls drop out of primary school in Uganda and 38% of boys do the same.)
Life is simply hard for children since most families earn very little and in slums un-employment exceeds 60% or more, so parents or guardians have little money for the children, their education, clothing, shoes, housing, food, and much more.
Currently we are working in East and West Africa on collecting donations of the self-reported needs of the orphanages. Both of these orphanages have legal registrations with the Africa Government and also our Elementary school.
Feed and Train The Poor ,believes that the best way to provide assistance is through education and sustainable projects. Education is the necessary foundation to help an individual become self-sufficient. All of our development projects are designed with the ultimate goal of sustainability without further outside assistance.
FTDP have been providing love and attention to the poor children in Africa, as well as education, food and development social. Please help us. Anything is welcome: clothes, school supplies, food, your time or kind words, etc. They'll be much appreciated.
