having read about the nutritional value of honey, i am planning to give my baby only honey instead of sugar for her tea, pap, etc throughout her childhood. please i want to know if there is any side effect. |

Noooooooooo!!!! ooooooooo Please dont feed your baby with honey. This is because honey can give your baby botulism which is a dangerous form of food poisoning. I wouldn't even give a baby under one year old sugar. |

I agree with mummy cc. Though contain a lot of anti-toxins and antioxidants and numerous nutritional values, its not recommended for children under 1 yr. @Poster, why not add plenty of baby milk pap? It will sweeten the pap and you won't need any form of sugar. I also used a lot ground crayfish in my sons pap then. if you haven't tried it, you should. |

thanks for the info. but what of children over one year. my question is, any time my child is due to eat anything sugar, can i substitute it for honey through out childhood. |
