Hello Nairalanders, i have this issue which has been bothering me for sometime now. I have a guy, we have been dating for 6months over the net but we met in each other on january 1st this year, we spent a nice time together for three days and he went back to his province, i don't yet know him well but he seems nice and caring. two weeks ago another guy came to me wanting us to be friends and he is even talking marriage, this one too is so caring but i don't really trust him, cos i don't know if he is showing all the care and love to win my heart. Im 29years and settling down is on my mind, i don't know if i should give this guy a chance or i should stick to the guy i spent new year with. One thing is that i have deep feelings for the guy i spent the new year with but he is not thinking of settling down yet and the second guy i feel nothing for him but some thing tells me to give him a chance and develop some love for him maybe it could take us somewhere. Please your opinions will be of great help to me. I look forward for your candid answers, opinions, and comments.

Why should the one you were with on New Years settle down with you when it's just feburary? Isnt it a little TOO soon for you to expect him to be all about marriage and the works?

as for the other one that is already yarning marriage nonsense after just knowing you for a few days, sounds like a psycho

My dear, I feel you cos we are of the same age.I'll advice that you keep the two of them and go for the one that is ready to grab you. I bet you, you will fall in love with him later whether you like it or not because I have not seen a woman who does not love her husband. The other guy may like you, but beware! don't trust him with all your heart. You can try by indirectly or subtly telling him you want to get seettled this year. It is either he distance himself from you, or he gets more cmmitted.Either way, pls be careful. Men are wolves in sheep's clothing.

The devil you know is better than the angel you don't in the sense that, you have known the guy you met on new year's day for six months. you have feelings for him, and he is caring and bla bla bla. but not ready to settle down yet.

He might just be taking his time and wanting to get to know you better. there's no need to rush anything. Marriage is a serious issue, and not something to just decide on.

while the second one hardly knows you well and he is already talking marriage. he sounds fishy.

you better apply caution in whatever decision you make. not because you wanna get married, you end up rushing into something and making mistakes you might regret later.

You'd be surprised. Some people are good at pretend for a while and then learning to tolerate the situation. I could never live like that nor would I wish that for another person

There is no rush in life. Everything will happen and fall in at the appropriate time.

My advice is that u barely either of this 2 guys. From what you wrote I don’t think u’re committed to either of them yet so, I’ll say keep talking to both of them, keep ur options open and don’t fall for the wrong guy cos u really wanna settle down. As for the first guy whom u spent the new year with. . . . I don’t how guys wanna handle the distance unless he really loves you and don’t might travelling to come and see u every now and then.

Dont ever make the mistake of being with someone u dont really feel that tang for.

What i have found out is that no matter how long u think its taking - it will always work out.
But the solution is to have someone that can know the intents of men and thats God, have him on ur side and it always works out.

Guys will never outrightly tell u that they are ready to settle down so what u need to do is have fun with the guy you like.

I tell u what, that happened to me too - even though at 28 i was thinkin i was getting old to not try and settle down. I met a guy, not that interesting and ma heart was so not with him - well we were introduced.

Like eight months later, i met a guy that i really liked. But it took like a few months down the line to meet him.

Girl, have fun with the guy that u like, dont think about settling down - just date first.

my dear Sister you better seek for the face of God. married is not what you can take like that. who tell you that both of them are not lier. Am a man. ok, Man can tell you that they we give you any thing you want. In the juction of married we need help of God and the grace. it is not good to mischoose husband or wife. IS BETTER FOR YOU TO ALLOW GOD TO LEAD YOU THAN TO LEAD YOUR SELF.
