I more than maximise its potentials, I study architecture and hence do A LOT of CG that involves 3D renderings and animations for myself and for corporate individuals and firms as well...I've figured if u really want a good rig, the best bet is to customise, that way u get to choose the things u want inside cuz you can never get the perfect rig in the market, if ur processor is good, ur graphics card my be crap, or u have a good graphics card and processor but crappy ram size

Lol its 4 "cores" not "processors" with each core having support for multi threading with combined 8 threads..in terms of its calculations algorithm, its safe to say there are 8 processors.

Lol no offence taken, for the sole reason of my conviction that you are not very familiar with computer hardwares. Or maybe I should ask what you think is the "lie" is it that the hardware I quoted there does not exist? Or that such hardware can't give u a rating of 7.1? If the latter is the case then you are not very familiar with computer hardwares. I actually attached a screen shot in the first post but somehow the thing didn't appear, probably cuz am using a mobile. Probably u missed the part where I said I didn't buy the laptop off a store shelf, I built it to my own specs from HP....processor rating is 7.6, ram - 7.9, aero graphics - 7.1, gaming graphics - 7.1, HD transfer rate 7.5

Ever heard of the saying 'A chain is as weak as it weakest link'?
All features i.e graphic capacity, RAM performance, CPU speed, etc are all tested and the one that scores the lowest is used as the system rating.
Hence the rating is like a measure of a system performance and can be used to a choice between two system you might want to purchase.

It's the performance that's being tested not the high spec. Your current system might be using intel graphics which sucks compared with ATI and NVIDIA.

Why is there no dislike button on NL

My old Sony VAIO VPCEB3E4E I use to test most Operating Systems is 4.7 on Windows 8. If I overclocked the old Sony with EVGA it could get up to 5.5 to 6.0. My Macbook Air is not running on Windows though.
