A friend of mine said he is considering pre-ordering a car from the US, Honda Accord 1998-2002 Baby boy and that he intends to ship to Cotonu and then follow bush path to Nigeria. So as to evade Nigerian Custom dutie which is like half the amount of the car itself. So that in all he wld spend not more than N500k.

What advice do u have for him?

The consequence may be that you will see same car being advertised on NL by agents of Customs officials when it is impounded.

Tell him to ship the car straight to Nigeria since he is pre ordering.
Clearing for the said car in Lagos is between N200k - N220k .
Gud luck
