While this is a good effort from the government of Osun state, we need to understand that doing this alone will not give us the good quality of governance we deserve. This is an effort, albeit, a very small one from the government of Osun to improve quality of governance. Not until the people begin to demand transparency and accountability from elected officials and hold them accountable will we see the kind of quality in governance that we deserve. One of the problems we have on this side of the world is too much academic theories and not enough practical or tangible demonstration of what we know. If Osun state wants to improve quality of governance, we need to see it in the quality of healthcare provided, quality of education provided, e.g. how much is the state government spending on quality education. Spending money on good quality education is investing in the future of our country. Also, how much of the government's allocation is spent on infrastructure that will bring the businesses which will employ the people. These are examples of good governance.
