I completely agree. The looters in the SE like drawing maps. What the hell is a new state going to do for us? There will be 700 states in Nigeria by 2015 i swear. confused people. |

On the contrary, if Nigeria cannot return back Regionalism then we need at least one more state. Politics at the National Assembly is a game of number, the North has always used their numbers to block important legislation, including ones such as PIB, and other that are beneficial to other region. New state in the SE, may not level the playing ground completely, but it will certainly aid. We should even be asking for equal states in all the Zone and of course equal representation at the NA. Let's not by myopic in our approach to this critical issue. |

we don't need any new state in Se because the ones we have now is enough for anything we want. imagine ordinary 5 states cannot come together to build one infrastructure like a high speed rail, or any regional project, everybody na atu sense now picture 2 more states thrown into the mix soon enugu and nsukka will start fighting like abia and imo and anambra may be divided into two unviable states that will start fighting over stupid things i noticed that it is only politicians that are demanding this. why can't these politician thieves relocate to abuja, never to return? it is either our politicians have been bought over by hausa/fulani colonial masters or they are the biggest fooools we ever saw in igboland or they are just greedy cokcsuckers who will sell igboland for a piece of federal pie that will certainly end up in private pockets of these thieves! these thieves should move to abuja we are happy the way things are if nigeria cannot allow igbo president now, it will even be more difficult after they carve us more because we will be more divided abia just sacked other igbo, the same way enugu did there will be more sackigns after this myopic division we don't need any new state in SE! |

also i am yet to see any regional project in any of the geopoliticials zones in nigeria because the division between the states set everyone at each others throats! it's like a deliberate attempt to bring division between brothers just to distract people and to steal! no new state in SE! |
Re: We Don't Need Any New State In SE ! by Nobody: 10:00pm On Nov 21, 2012 |
let's imagine a new state with a federal allocation of say 80 billion if current states work together, they can raise this money and use to to develop region projects even anambra alone can raise this money just for this paltry sum, we bring more division that will make us useless and powerless states with zero regional project. since these fake states started popping out, there has been zero regional projects in all part of nigeria its like someone is deliberately diving nigeria just to weaken her! open ya eyes myopia and greediness goes hand in hand we don't need any new state in SE |

What i'm trying to ask is can the creation of many state in a particular region affect the price of garri in the market positively or negatively? it affect the price of garri negatively because instead of mass transit rail to be developed at regional level which will bring down the cost of transtportation, which will bring down the cost of garri the opposite is the case zero regional projects like regional trains, ferries or buses, and others is one proof that state creation is evil and serves only the career politicians we don't need any new state in sE |

look at the thread title "Enugu the pride of the East", people are fighting there, over a town that was developed together, just because a state was split in two less than 20 years ago. soon nsukka and enugu will become strangers while onitsha and nnewi will become foreigners to each other same with owerri and ideato imagine that stupidity and yet someone with brains is supporting it! |
