Saudi Implements Electronic Tracking-System For Women by LailaIkeji1: 12:39pm On Nov 25, 2012
Saudi Arabia has implemented an electronic tracking system to monitor women and inform their husbands if they leave the country.
According to an Agence France-Press story, a new system implemented last week sends Saudi husbands text messages from the Saudi immigration agency when their wives are flying out of King Khaled International Airport, near Riyahd.

And this system is operational for all dependents (children, women, and foreign workers).

Saudi Arabia, which ranked second worst in a Thomson Reuters global survey on women’s rights in mid 2012, is a notoriously repressive country.
•Women are not allowed to leave the country without signed permission from their husbands.
•Women are banned from driving,
•required to have a male guardian,
•just received the right to vote in municipal elections last year,
•and must cover most of their bodies, traditionally with a burqa or niqab.

Let's do some logic here
If Saudi Arabia ranks second worst in their treatment of women and SA is base of a major religion then that religion should rank 1st religion any sane woman should avoid. Don't hide my post oo I did not call names, I'm not talking to you but advising those ladies that plan to join Fashola, Tinubu etc wives to marry in/from that area

Saudis (and Islam more generally) view women as property.

Just as my Honda Civic has a digital tracking system, I guess in their world view a woman should also be tracked too.

After all, for them there is no difference between my Civic and a woman.

Primitive, retrogressive country and people.

Strawman argument

Meanwhile, last time I heard of it, these brainless and primitive people have better infrastructure than Nigeria (no power failure, roads are better, well-equipped hospitals etc), and have evolved a working and constantly-improving system for handling an influx of a significant number of pilgrims within a narrow time corridor

BTW I notice that Nigerians comment and know more about SA than they do about some West African countries
Maybe this is religious "busy-bodyism"

Strawman argument
How is her logic/argument a strawman? What is d diff bw tracking a car (property) and tracking a human being ('property')? How is it okay for a woman not to be allowd to drive a car Or to be forcd to always walk-around with a male escort? Is this not what BH and those extremists in northern Mali want as one of their core religious demands/ideologies? What then is d diff bw many of you guys justifying this and d extremists. Little wonda BH is still flourishing in parts of d Upper north
