i am currently serving... will be passing out on 6th of june.
my question is:
can i apply for a DB (or any bank) job prior to my passing out, or is the NYSC discharge certificate going to hinder me from applying/writing the test?
pls note: its barely 8weeks to my passing out.

Your question is good but it indicated u did not understand some conditions for job search. Most rugged graduates do not wait to finish service before making applications since most recruitment process takes a while even to get invitation for test. Unless stated there it isn't prohibition for u guys. Infact u have wasted time. For DB their process seems fast since the worst case was to get interview invitation after 3 months of passing test. You can try now by dropping ur cv in their branch. No one knows if there would be other upcoming test. Just my piece!
