Hope we all had a great day.
So, i was invited to a church for a five day meeting in one of the orthodox churches. I was actually skeptical about going. Not like i had anything against any orthodox church, in fact i was born and bred in one.
Anyway, despite having a busy day, i finally decided to go today. And events unfolded before my eyes just like i thought. I was disappointed.
What turned me off the most, was 99% of the prayer was channelled towards the enemy stuff... I mean the likes of enemy die, and the likes. It is very easy for some to get emotional under such, but that does not change the fact that it is wrong. As saints, we have no right to ask for the death of any human. It is our duty to pray for our enemies. It is solely under the Father's prerogative to determine such. We hear nothing of such from the master, who prayed for his 'enemies' even as he hung on the cross and even as he felt the pains. We hear nothing of such from the apostles. The closest we read of such was Paul declaring a man blind. And that was not for his personal purpose but for the sake of the gospel which he was presenting at that moment. Notable is the fact that he declared that the blindness was to remain for a season.
Too many wrong prayers. I was at a church on invitation and i saw the whole church with the minister for over ten minutes commanding the spirit of poverty to die. I was stunned.
And still saying, christians need to take their focus off the enemies stuff. It's not God's will for new testament believers. Paul indeed wrote that ... we are not ignorant of the devices of the devil But is it not amazing that we never have a chapter dedicated to explaining the devices of the devil? Because, the devil is not a factor!
Then how do we ensure that we are not ignorant of the devices of the devil? By two ways
- Discovering who we are. And we do this by the word. The word defines who we are. We are at the greatest risk when we are ignorant of the word. The word is a cure for ignorance and is a guarantee of victory over the devil any time.
- Knowing God. I would to God that we knew that God demands communion from us. A heart to heart talk with him is a delight to him. Praying against enemies is firing bullets at random, not knowing which prayer will hit the nail on the head. But when we fellowship with God, it becomes easier to know exactly what to pray for because before it would happen, Papa would have alerted us. And i would that all Christians all around the world knew that prayer is more about a relationship than a request.
Most members of churches like those, experience the best that God intended for every believer. This needs to be corrected. And that change begins with us. If we would know the word for ourselves, and teach one, and that one teach one, and that one teach one and so on... Christ shall build his church, and he'd do it through us as we release ourselves to him.
I typed all of this out of the concern in my heart. I do not hate any church, they together with us are the body of Christ. But i think it's time the church begins to grow into maturity.

BLESSED TO BE A BLESSING!

Gen 12:2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing.

To be blessed is to be endued with power to succeed (Josh 1: and to prosper! Prosperity is not just about money - it is a state of having nothing missing, nothing broken and nothing lacking! To be blessed is to be endued with power to live long (Psa 91:16) and endued with the power of fruitfulness and productivity.

I pray that from today you will not just bear the name 'blessed', you will also experience the blessing!

Your outward appearance does not change the fact that you are blessed. It doesn't matter where you are in life- you're blessed! 1 Cor 10:13 (NLT) The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.

The look on your face does not change the situation. Harassing others with your situation doesn't either, only the spirit of Faith would! It's okay to cry for a while but make sure you stand up immediately and declare the Word! THE BLESSING IS ON YOU!

The reason the blessing is on your life is because you are meant to be a blessing. Stop abiding and enjoying the blessings alone. Reach out to people! God does not waste His resources, He releases them to those who would advance His kingdom!

There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty. Channels never run dry. Be a distribution center of God's blessings! Dispense, don't be an accumulator: things that receive and do not give out (distribute) stink!

CONFESSION: I am a distributor of God's blessing! I decree, that I am not coming out of 2013 empty handed in Jesus' name!
