The biggest problem with a conventional convertible car is rigidity. So they beef up the chassis up to 25% more for the car work.

Using that analysis, this one will be hell to drive. Thats why I feel the metal panel may still be there but only masked with the basket

Good concept...tho thr will av to be a whole lotta tweaks to be put in place. If indeed the entire body iz made of cane....it will get too light at some speeds...then d body might not be able to withstand some serious vibrations...
