Beautiful and I am sure delicious too.

How peppery is your jollof on a scale from 1-10 with 10 being extremely hot?
Was told my dad has chilli he chew as he eats.
Wtf.
I think I have his reincarnation in my house. Spicy chilli is endangered spice in my kitchen. I mean,I will combine the spicest of them all and the day I want to use it, jar is empty.

I love hot chilli especially in this season. Has been raining cat and dog here since 2 weeks. Hospitals are filled with covid breakout.

Dinner:

Brown butter garlic, onions, and parsley rice, a side of plantain, and beef stew.

I had other plans but when I realized I needed to cook stew, I just pivoted to something easy.

There are different types of chilli in this world.
Some are mild, some are hot, some are super hot.
Nigeria use the hot to super hot types.
So you look at chilli from the naija perspective.

Eg korean hot pepper flakes is not as spicy as ordinary ginger if i use itbut to the Koreans, it's hot. Even if I put 3 full spoons, it's just for colour as I will not feel the bang. But in the same food 1 scotch bonnet can make me look for water as the scotch bonnet here is hotter than the one at home. The same with habenero( yellow pepper)

The hot chilli there can last for one year. Just scoop small teaspoon. There are some pepper I cut big deliberately and use as veggie. Some are not even spicy at all. We just use them cos of vit c.

Cos they eat healthy most times na.
We eat more than 80% carbohydrate per meal. We can't even compare.
We don't even have proteins. Only animal protein and beans which is more of carb. Normal every meal veggies like carrots, we will rather wait till we make fried rice. We even prefer raw carrot when cooked carrot is what we needed. We need nutritionists to plan our meals. Japan did it.
Wonder what those who studied that course do in real life.

Yes, it helps with digestion and by extension weight management. I can say I have improved to 2 and sometimes 3 out of 10. It can only get better with time.
