Our Client a major player the manufacturing sector is in need of qualified candidates for the position of Training and Development Manager to be in charge of learning and professional development of its workforce.

He /She will be responsible for:

•Identifying training and development needs within an organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular consultation with business managers and human resources departments.
•Designing and developing training and development programmes based on both the organization’s and the individual's needs.
•Drawing up a training plan
•Working with training providers to develop suitable content for the courses
•Considering the costs of planned programmes and keeping within budgets
• Assessing the return on investment of any training or development programmes.
•Working in a team to produce programmes that are satisfactory to all relevant parties in an organization, such as line managers, accountants and senior managers at board level.
•Developing effective induction programmes.
•Sourcing for reputable third party trainers
•Conducting appraisals.
•Producing training materials for in-house courses.
•Monitoring and reviewing the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with managers;
•Ensuring that statutory training requirements are met.
•Evaluating training and development programmes.
•Amending and revising programmes as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment.
•Keeping up to date with developments in training by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
•Must have a minimum of B.sc, B.a, B.eng or HND in a recognized institution.
•Must have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a structures organization.
•Must have an excellent interpersonal, communication and flexibility skills.
•Considerate experience in Human Resources at a middle management level is an advantage.
•Certification in project management is an advantage.
