i loved and wished to be a doctor but my elder brother preffered engineering , cos of my mathematics and construction excellence.

thus i read chemical engineering, desiring to work in oil and gas, but presently working as a trainee production process engineer in a cement company.

still believing and applying tirelessly to any oil and gas job that i am qualified and elligible, though want to do my masters but not in nigeria, got an admission already believing God for scholarship.[b]i loved and wished to be a doctor but my elder brother preffered engineering , cos of my mathematics and construction excellence.

Just to throw in a random advice as I am free today. Do not go to an average school abroad unless you are being funded. If you must study abroad, you would do yourself plenty of good by attending a highly rated school with prestigious brand name.

Good luck

LoL" grin grin Nigerians love good things I swear!!! Lol

Anyways,I am a tad bit confused though....I also wanna be in line with any oil services corp or Engr work, buh my prob is I studied

Industrial chemistry". What could I possibly advance in to divert?? Pls do you know??

are you kidding there are advanced corrosion courses you can attend or better still get full range QaQC certifications like
lucrative API's and three or four NDT methods, damn!! you really don't know what you ve got.

there are big laboratory jobs in the oil and gas industry that pay well, ICH or PICH is their basic qualification.

do you know that oil is treated before it is sold (additives)?? it means that every oil producing or production servicing companies utilize labs, what about petroleum importers and tank farm owners. other sectors too like breweries utilize labs.

didn't you go for excursions while in school?

how did you end up studying a course you know nothing about?

Risky_man:

Guy, is there any course or trainning one can do to be a QAQC Engr.??

chemical engineering or industrial chemistry first degree (other suitable courses may fly)

Get at least minimum of level 3 HSE certification (NISP preferred)
get at least three methods in API or EUMA
get three methods in NDT

voila!! you are a professional QaQC guy, don't forget to back it up with 5yrs experience, meaning, you should be working while getting those certifications.

sorry, i forgot to tell you that its for the O and G industry.
