I am a student of public health technology in Federal University Of Technology owerri. I was offered adission with a vilid admission letter stating my duration of study as 5 years, into the faculty of Continuieng Education ( part time).
The school woke up yesterday to say that i, and a hundred of thousands of other students will no longer study for the legally prescribe 5 years but 7 years, with an automatic increase in school fee.
Lawyers in the house, can this issue be debated in court?
What are our chances in court?
I need rational advice please.

why not, your school is legal entity that can sue and sued. Just look out for a good lawyer to help you fight your case.

Most schools offer 'provisional admission' most times what this tend to mean is that they are at discretion to alter some of the terms and conditions on which your admission is based on. However you can sue on some grounds...and I can assure you that this is not within such, as the sch has the right to increase sch fees, or increase the duration of your programme. The best you guys can do is stage a protest...and even at that I advise u apply wisdom. No go stand for front make them no rusticate you for breach of matriculation vow
