But in any case, like AJ put up there, career matters more. I know someone that started and has all his career in bank but today is far better off than his friends that started in oil and gas in the same period. |

LOVEGINO: Go to PH and see where a Captain in the army built a house worth N50m. It's not for everyone of them posted anywhere. And they got a special salary scale just like NPF. Truth is that anything you do can make you rich, even purewater business. It all depends on your turnover. I have seen a bread seller train his children in the university and built a house. But his shop location is something to be admired. |

sanb: It’ll depend on your area of speciality after becoming a chartered accountant. You can specialised in a particular area i.e. management accounting, auditor, financial accounting or a finance consultant. These areas I’ve mentioned, can earn you a lot. Are you coaching LORD JARUS? The Great Accountant? Repent from your sins ignorant one... |

tanimola22: The number of investment banks that pay so high is very small. The kind of pay you mentioned is only obtainable in FBN Capital and less than 3 other houses .How many Private Equity Firms do we have in Nigeria right now. They are not up to 10.I think the best paying job is consulting; if you have made to leverage on your skills and contacts you have gathered experience while working in other places. |

sergio: An average banker earns N3.5m annually, guess I can call that mega cash for a country where times are harsh, some peeps in IT and consulting firms earn close to 7m annually, based on these, I wld say How much does a banker take home. Before you can take 250k home in bank, you must have spent close to 4-5 years. What then is the attraction in banking? |

jummy05: Well, the PE industry is growing rapidly and both foreign and local high-net-worth investors are seriously looking towards investing in Nigeria..I can hazard a guess of more than 10 PE firms actively doing business in Naija. Carlyle, Helios, Actis, Aterios, ECP, BGL PE, Adlevo, Travant, Quantum, Adlevo, Henshaw, Kaizen, Alithea, Zephyr and some others, which my brain failed me in recalling, are active in Nigeria. I agree that the industry is at the growth stage in Naija, but I disagree that the presence of PE firms is insignificant. T22. 1 Like 1 Share |
