Please tell me how I can get back Blackberry Messenger on my phone. I upgrated the one on my phone today and after I restarted it I have been unable to find the icon on my phone. Please help me

Maybe you mistakenly hid the icon. Press your menu key, scroll to 'show all' and click on it. If it shows but slightly transparent, scroll to the BBM icon, press menu key, scroll down to 'unhide' and click.

did something happen during the upgrade? if it did not install properly, just go back to appworld and re-install
