That amount is small, compare to the unbelievable and astounding miracles ,one will have if 50 people can sow a seed of 1000 dollars each, so he said, in one of his invite in one popular church I use to go to. I was shocked when I heard him, say 1000 dollars and guess what? Trust vain Nigerians, that want people to know they can give out such money.. A lot of people came out to pledge for 1000 dollars each. I just sit gere for my seat, they look in wonder... Nna mehn, the pastor made money that day... I then realized how far grin... Nija I hail... Peeps I hail. Pastor mathew nothing do you grin
Keep up the gospel.
Any surprise why you are still looking for daily crumbs to live by? Get some wisdom ... Givers never lack and sowers are bountiful harvesters. If you think you give money to your pastor then you get a pastors blessing. But if you gave it to God for His kingdom to expand, you will experience the rains of heaven! Be a giver to the core and stop complaining.

Nice one bro. Can't wait to see "The Church" take over the development of nuclear power plants and weapons manufacturing. This sector of "human endeavor" is much more profitable. It can also setup casinos and gambling websites. Those too are very 'prosperity-driven' and unbelievably profitable.
A toast to "the church taking over all the sector of human endeavor!" More grease to your elbows. Cheers.

If he decides to open the university here, can't you reason with your brain who the overall looser will be? Do you know how many Nigerians will be employed by this university? Also, do you know the spill effect t will have on that locality in terms of trade and commerce?
Some of you just talk simply because you have mouth, why not reason with your brain first?

So easy to know a poor soul in a forum. You sure come across as one. Like the saying goes, wealthy people don't talk about how rich they are, their wealthy talk about who they are. Simply you come across like one little rascal that was not raised with manners, not an insult but stating the truth.

I did not curse anyone but was just saying what the Bible says about the poor. Even in America, which virtually all Nigerian want to kill themselves at the US embassy to get her Visa still have poor and homeless people. So no-where is free just brush yourself up and free yourself from sentiment.

MIND YOU I CARRY A MARK OF TOUCH NOT ...IF I PRONOUNCE A CURSE ON YOU ...

BE WARNED!!!

Sharrrapp!!!!! Am scared!!
U think say you can understand what the bible says after going to babalawo and you carry bible enter church...
It's people like you that bring confusion in christian kingdom in Nigeria.
Is it not that same bible that tells you to love your neighbour as you love yourself and give to the poor as god loves a cheerful giver.
If a politician or an ordinary business man builds a school and place the school fees @ N1m per semester, nobody will complain because he is doing his business, he might not know god or know what the bible says.
Here we are talking about MOGs who are suppose to lead by examples by teaching all and sundry how to love and give to the poor, letting people know that we should be more concernd about life after death not the amount of wealth you can acquire in this world. There are so many villages in this country that don't even have portble water, common scondary school, food, and other little things that help life, why do those MOGs don't like building schools there?

It relates to the unguarded quip earlier made by you about someone's post.
You challanged the contributor asking why he doesn't go into the same service as the ministers that claim to be called by God (none of us was there at the time) so he can do better. In the same vein why don't you create your own medium of communication?
Now, I'm sure that isn't too difficult for you to understand.
To the crux of the matter, whether you admit it or not, the crass acquisition of worldly possesions by these men of the robe is quite divisive and since God is not a confusionist it could lead one to conclude that a lot of these men are coveteous and solely in it for the money.
Beieve me anybody who has been torn between two minds about commiting to the service of God by way of fellowshiping would easily be put off by these acts, surely you don't want that to happen now do you?
A single soul lost by these acts cannot be regained and no amount of debates here or in any other forum can reconcile that fact.
Re: Pastor Ashimolowo Completes KICC University. by caesaraba(m): 7:55am On Dec 14, 2012
@Rusher14, about the issue of losing souls, you couldn't be more right. However, most of these babalawo christians who have reduced christianity to a money-doubling service of sowing and reaping won't let you talk. Nobody go like make u spoil im jazz na.

Your assertion is wrong.

Find out what student pay at ABTI (AUN) Abubakar Atiku owned University in the bush of Yola.

Why do people to love to criticize anything that come from the church of Christ?

Ain't there primary and secondary schools that pay #1 million per term i.e. #3 million per year and haters are not shouting?

If you care to start your own university with less fee then Nigerians will beg you to be their President.
You are on point dear. The problem of most Nigerians is bitterness. An averaage Nigerian is very bitter hearted and thus any good thing from anywhere is seen from the negative view!!! The same Nigerians who see nothing wrong is paying over 1.5 million in Baze University Abuja and ABTI university Yola will cry exploitation that Covenant Uni is collecting between 5 to 600k to offer higher quality training and research than where they pay higher simply because its run by a church; do churches mint currency to run their universities? Its university for cryin out loud and not daycare centre . Same people who wouldn't complain of exploitation by some secondary schools like Turkish International sch, Adesoye College, Loyola Jesuit, etc where school fees are higher than 1.3 million per year are complaining n screaming exploitation because a university run by church collects half the amount to offer world class teaching while impacting strong moral and leadership virtues on their students. Let them continue in their bitterness, it doesn't stop crowd from rushing to the schools for admission. Government has failed Nigerians in the education sector and the church cannot afford to fail too.

Of all these schools you mentioned, is any of them owned by the church? Am asking...
They are doing their business with intention to make profit. Are these churches now profit oriented establishments?
Then if anyone does not have a house to lay his head or a widow has no money for her children's school fees, they run to church. Pastors take over the responsibilties of the less priviledged, feed them, cloth them and send them to school. Why is it that these rich pastors don't go to remote areas in Nigeria where there's no electricity, pipe born water, even common secondary school, no good church to establish these things and build schools?
The reverend in my village, most times during festive seasons people bring him a lot of things, gift, food items, cloths, money etc.
After he'll share out some of those things to many of the villagers that do not have enough for themselves... At the end of the day, you find out he only used with his family very few of all the gifts that were given to him.
Another reverend came home to his village sometime, at night armed robbers came. After taking all their money they wanted to also take a motor bike of one of the rev's brothers.
The reverend brought out his car keys and pleaded with the robbers that if they must take, they should take his car and leave the motor bike for his brother as that is the only thing he has and uses to feed his family. The armed robbers did not even know anybody there owns a car coz it was parked outside. and the armed robbers said; "truly you are a man of god" and they left without taking either the motor bike nor the Rev's car.

Let it be for now......

Are the churches making profit from the universities they run? Did you know that most of the church owned universities are getting subvention from the church to be able to run them effectively because the fees charged the students cannot take care of running cost?

Do you do so only by just coming out to give $10,000 to your pastor when requests for it at the alter without any specific reason as to why you are giving out your money?

I wish not to join issues with you.

If a businessman charge #1million in his school so a mission university that employ lecturers/professors from the same labour market will have to consult you to fix her school tuition fee? SMH!

If you know all those places where there is need of schools, portable water and what have you. May i ask you this simple question? What effort have you make to cushion those needs? Haven't you read about children whose parent are rich that solicited for fund from their parents and friends to build schools and provide amenities or NYSC members that provide pipe-borne water from their stipends.

Must people raise the issue of the poor anytime a Servant of God build a university or buy a jet? I belief people like you would have accuse Father Abraham, Isaac or Jacob because of there wealth and say they are not heaven conscious while God is happy with them for being His good representative on earth. Noah in the Bible was the richest man in the whole East yet he feared God and God boast of him. Poverty living is not the same as holiness. My God is a rich God if not He wouldn't have pave the roads in heaven with gold. A lion begat a lion, so a Rich God begat me - a rich son!

It’s so entertaining reading everyone's view point for this topic; I can safely say we are all right. I’m not about to preach but let’s remember this bible Verse – Luke 6:37 – Do not Judge! lipsrsealed

But on the other hand you can’t help to think that WHY? Why do you need a private Jet? And the many other WHY\s , which is endless.

Christianity has been turned upside down by some pastors who are able to manipulate the ignorant;
Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. cry

These so called pastors (Not referring to any in particular) are able to manipulate due to the hardness of heart of their congregation. The congregation worship the Pastor shocked, Money shocked, 24hr miracle shocked, they all want to HAMMER shocked cool! (HAMMER – INSTANT MEGA RICHES)
Proverbs 21:5 - The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty.
We all should pray that God open our eyes, ears & hearts spiritually so that we may have understanding beyond all human understanding. See and hear what normal people can’t see or hear. Distinguish between the real and fake man of god!

In my opinion;
Should they have Jets? Hell no, what happened to first class flight. angry

Private University? Yes\No Open to debate……Depends on the Church. Are they also investing in the lifes of locals, built Library, Medical centre etc
Riding Segway\Hover board into church? grin I guess times have changed; Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem! God help us.

Jerry KoKo? grin coolThat wan nah personal preference, it does not stop you from getting into heaven.

Hummer Jeep or Latest Range Rover? Hmmmmmmm……What happen to Toyota Rav 4? Has it been discontinued?
The list goes on………………

FYI…………….Ashimolowo has been my pastor for over 8 years. Do I agree with all his principle? NO! But I have been blessed by the word of God from this MAN. He does do other charitable works.

At the end of it all……………………….Only God can judge.
