I doubt if he has an explanation for his picks. He has never given any for any stock he choose to buy

BullBearMkt provides you with strategy which can be easily verified & tested if it works. I rest my case.

Frankly except it's a joke, only a silly person will equate you with that moniker. It's why I say most people here don't know what they are doing, both old and new. And even when reasonable info comes they still cant tell the difference.

You can move very far away. While at it, please tell your ilk who don't have anything useful to contribute to the forum to stop antagonizing those who make an effort.

'' . . . Buy that which is showing strength - sell that which is showing weakness. The public continues to buy when prices have fallen. The professional buys because prices have rallied. This difference may not sound logical, but buying strength works. The rule of survival is not to “buy low, sell high”, but to “buy higher and sell higher”. Furthermore, when comparing various stocks within a group, buy only the strongest and sell the weakest. '' #Fav

Part 2: TECHNICAL ANALYSIS FOR BEGINNERS

Last week Friday, we looked at line and bar charts which are 2 of the 3 commonly used charts. In today's lesson, we'll be looking at Candlestick Charts.

Candlesticks Charts
Candlestick charts is similar to bar chart, but more graphical. It still indicates the high-to-low range with a body. In a candlestick charting, the larger block (or body) in the middle indicates the range between the opening and closing prices. Depending on the charting software, the colour of the candlestick body indicates if the price is going up or down. This makes them easy to interpret.

For the purpose of this lesson, we will use green body to indicate Up-price and red body for Down-price. That is, if the closing price is higher than the opening price, then the block in the middle will be “green”, while the block in the middle will be red if the closing price is lower than the opening price. Chart 1 is an example of a rising in price (green) and falling price (red).

Chart 2 below is the candlestick chart for UCAP similar to the one presented for line & bar charts.

Q: Now, is it possible to have opening price to be the same as closing price?
A: YES.
Q: Then, what colour will I see if opening price = closing price? And what does that mean?
A: When this happens, you can use any other colour different from green or red. Typically the candlestick looks much like bar chart discussed earlier. Examples are given in Chart 3 and 4.

Chart 4 shows different bar charts where we have closing prices at its opening prices.

Scenario 1: Buyers push the price up, then Sellers took over & push it down, but at the end there was no winner (indecision) as price closed at the opening price

Scenario 2: From the time price opened, Sellers dominated & pushed the price down, however, before the close of the “day”, Buyers came in and push it up to end the day’s price the same as it opened.

Scenario 3: Is the opposite of scenario 2, where buyers came out forcefully before sellers later took over.

Scenario 4: Buyers and Sellers fought each other but the price stays the same throughout!

Buyers are mostly referred to as the BULL and Seller BEAR.

Q: Out of the 3 chart, which one is the best
A: It depends on your choice. Line chart is simple to read, but it is not given you details of what is happening in the market place. You get more from bar and candlestick charts.

SUMMARY
-Beginner should be, by now, able to read the 3 different charts discussed – line, bar & candlestick
-Know when price is rising, or falling over time

…next we'll look at Market Cycle

…have a successful trading week.

You come across as a very selfish unpatriotic fellow. You are long on dollars and because of that you are trying to convince everyone to join you to accumulate dollars and make Nigeria's case more critical.

And after you have reached your "next port of call", what next? Another higher port of call, I guess. Your likes are as dangerous as, if not more dangerous than, the so-called generator importers cabal that don't want the power sector to work.

I frankly do not think @peterichy is an unpatriotic nigerian but simply a business man capitalizing on the weaknesses of the nigerian economy and its faulty financial policies.

There are many out there that are in the CBN and Government that are doing worse to the naira and making millions, if not billions from it.
