Guys lets drop this whole arguments, Oga peterichy you don't have to prove anything to anyone. Sometimes as a trader we offload stocks in bits, even though we say we have dumped the whole thing, so guys lets give room for human error.

At the end of the day everyone owes nobody explanation over what they make. So lets drop this and move on. The bull run just started. Happy investing ahead of Q2 end.

I'm not here to prove anything, rather I'm point out how miserable some people that are in the habit of deceiving newbies to always buy stocks day in day out.

They claim to be long term investors where as they don't have anything stake in the market.

Tell them to show screenshots the next thing they run to go and hide under their mama bed.

For the NEWBIES stock is a very dangerous terrain as in VERY VERY DANGEROUS PLATFORM where you can lose all your FUNDS inessence don't invest what you can't afford to lose. I rest my case.

You get to see this bull trap when market enters bull cycle on some dead stocks. Dead stock because fundamentals is zero and intrinsic value is close to nothing. Any smart investor will not fall for this trick. Where there is just a minor reversal many get their fingers burnt.

Nothing is happening in Skye for now. Huge toxic assets in their balance sheet. CBN has mandated it's imposed mangement to clean up and put the bank on profitability. For now nothing positive about the bank...The former directors are yet to repay their loans as such the bank is still hemorrhaging and it will be too risky to just throw away one's money. (Except it's Dasuki's loot.. grin)....

However, if you are tempted to enter, you better Rebuke the devil sponsoring the temptation and flee with your money... grin
come ooo haven't i seen write up like this on smn sometimes ago?

PETERiCHY: Nothing fishy is going on rather most people are liquidating their TBills at all cost and diverting the fund to Stock Market. Last month i liquidated all my USD position and invested in the stock market and so far my portfolio is 51.8% upside. Would it been i don't have a formidable USD portfolio. i would have terminated my TBills that is due for December because of the kind of fire that is currently burning in NSE. *ThE OcToPuS*

I foresee a mild reversal early next week. Sold almost 90% of my stocks today and hoping to re-enter next week. An entity in Diamond Bank was offloading heavily towards the tail end of trading today. I see a reversal, might be wrong though but same plan worked for me between last week and this week.

@ peterichy and mended, u guys should sheat ur swords. Nobody is under any obligations to prove or to believe anybody on trading volume, infact, we don't even care. I've been in that shoe, you can only mess yourself up when trying to justify anything. You drag yourself in the mud and lose your esteem.

We should learn not to insult ppl. Pass out your observation without insult. Sometimes we should learn to keep our portfolio to ourselves cos that it the no 1 thing that expose us to insult. You must not share what u bought or sold. I also want us to tone down the figures we bandy around here...like we are heading to km 4. Truth is that nobody knows where it will reverse.newbies take decisions based on such assertive statements. It could turn either way. When we post too much, we expose ourselves to insults and not much ppl can take it.

A coalition of Niger Delta militants is demanding from the Federal Government the return of all oil blocs controlled by Northerners to the people of the oil producing region.

The demand is in retaliation for the order issued by Northern youth organizations to the Igbo in the north to quit the region by October 1.

The Niger Delta Watchdogs, Niger Delta Volunteers, Niger Delta Peoples Fighters, Niger Delta Warriors, Bakassi Freedom Fighters, Niger Delta Movement for Justice, Niger Delta Fighters Network and Niger Delta Freedom Mandate, said in a joint statement yesterday that they also intend to declare an independent Niger Delta on October 1 with a view to freeing their people from what they called northern enslavement.

The communiqué was signed by ‘General’ John Duku (Niger Delta Watchdogs and Convener: Coalition of Niger Delta Agitators), ‘General’ Ekpo Ekpo (Niger Delta Volunteers), ‘General’ Osarolor Nedam (Niger Delta Warriors), and ‘Major-Gen.’ Henry Okon Etete (Niger Delta Peoples Fighters).

Others are ‘Major-Gen.’ Asukwo Henshaw (Bakassi Freedom Fighters), ‘Major-Gen.’ Ibinabo Horsfall (Niger Delta Movement for Justice), ‘Major-Gen.’ Duke Emmanson (Niger Delta Fighters Network), and ‘Major-Gen.’ Inibeghe Adams (Niger Delta Freedom Mandate).

How many messages did you get?

"Hello,
Hello Customer,
Your mandate has been Approved on the e-DocumentMgr Platform."
That is the first message

And the second one like this

"Dear
Your e-Dividend Mandate Form has been APPROVED by GTL REGISTRARS for the following quoted company: UNIVERSITY PRESS PLC"

I have only gotten the second message for one of the registrars waiting for the other two.
I plan to call them by next week to know the status and to ask them on what steps do I need to take to claim my outstanding dividend.

If you have unclaimed dividend with them, call them and if it is all about future dividend, you don't need to worry yourself, just wait and the alert will come in once dividend is declared and paid.

my people, I took my edividend forms to my bankers and they have uploaded them successfully, that is 3 weeks ago and upto now I am yet to receive any message from NIBBS. What step should I take pls

...Wao! In less than 24 hours, I got 4 people asking almost the same question. That means it must be critical!!!

Looking at the charts below, the 2 banks have recently rallied and are now "dangerously" sitting on long term resistance price level. A break above this level is very important to the stocks.

Which stock is preferred?
To attempt to select a preferred stock, I based my analysis on Sentiment and Sector comparison

1. POSITIVE SENTIMENT
Both FCMB and Fidelity are enjoying positive sentiment from investors cum traders, however, Fidelity is showing more participation and greediness than FCMB

2. SECTOR COMPARISON
Year-To-Date comparison of the 2 stocks with the financial sector index shows that Fidelity Bank has over-performed the sector with over 65% price appreciation while FCMB is under-performing the sector and cashing up at a faster rate (about 28% price appreciation).

PREFERRED STOCK
I tend to prefer Fidelity Bank stock to FCMB as it's having good participation/sentiment and currently performing better than the sector index.
It is generally belief in the technical "world" that a stock that is over-performing the market always do well in sort- to medium term, however, any negative info in the future can impede such stock's performance.

Meaning a conservative All Shares Index growth of 15% to 21% is possible in the next 28 weeks.

Honestly, it's about to get messier...I bet the north didn't bargain for this...

Investment wise, the political risk in the country is too high and needs to be pruned. No investor, reading all these threats will be comfortable putting his money in the stock market or any sector of the economy... Uncertainty kills FDI and economic prosperity of the citizens. What does this mean for stock investors? while it is not to cause fear and panic in anyone, it's wisdom we stay watchful and follow up events on this issue very well so as not to be trapped again...Or am I taking it too far? Well, may be not- its just the kind of country we live in...

Time will tell... grin

your projection is highly possible as long as CBN keeps the favourable FX window open... almost tempted to liquidate some real estate investments and plunge further into the market to enjoy the ride up as ASI climbs... just concerned about the policy somersaults that happens in naija
