12 Timeless Rules of Investing: Guidelines Every Investor Should Embrace, But Few Actually Do An Investment U White Paper Report By Dr. Steve Sjuggerud, Advisory Panelist, Investment U In the special report below, I identify 12 classic investing rules that every investor can use throughout their lifetimes. These time-honored guidelines are proven in helping investors achieve their goals, sometimes in capitalizing on gains and sometimes in mitigating losses. Enjoy! 1. An attempt at making a quick buck often leads to losing much of that buck. The people who suffer the worst losses are those who overreach. If the investment sounds too good to be true, it is. The best hot tip I've found is "there is no such thing as a hot tip." 2. Don't let a small loss become large. Don't keep losing money just to "prove you are right." Never throw good money after bad (don't buy more of a loser). When all you're left with is hope, get out. 3. Cut your losers; let your winners ride. Avoid limited-upside, unlimited-downside investments. Don't fall in love with your investment; it won't fall in love with you. 4. A rising tide raises all ships, and vice versa. So assess the tide, not the ships. Fighting the prevailing "trend" is generally a recipe for disaster. Stocks will fall more than you think and rise higher than you can imagine. In the short run, values don't matter. 5. When a stock hits a new high, it's not time to sell something that is going right. When a stock hits a new low, it's not time to buy something that is going wrong. 6. Buy and hold doesn't ALWAYS work. If stocks don't seem cheap, stand aside. 7. Bear markets begin in good times. Bull markets begin in bad times. 8. If you don't understand the investment, don't buy it. Don't be wooed. Either make an effort to understand it or say "no thanks." You can't know everything, so don't stray far from what you know. 9. Buy value, and sell hysteria. Paying less than the underlying asset's value is a proven successful investing strategy. Buying overvalued stocks has proven to under perform the market. Neglected sectors often offer good values. The "popular" sectors are often overvalued. 10. Investing in what's popular never ends up making you any money. Avoid popular stocks, fad industries and new ventures. Buy an investment when it has few friends. 11. When it's time to act, don't hesitate. Once you're in, be patient and don't be rattled by fluctuations. Stick with your plan... but when you make a mistake, don't hesitate. Learn more from your bad moves than your good ones. 12. Expert investors care about risk; novice investors shop for returns. If you focus on the risks, the returns will eventually come for you. If you focus on the returns, the risks will eventually come for you. Good investing, Steve I love point 7 11 Likes 5 Shares |

currentprice: Looking at ConOil revenue, the firm continues to increase its revenue from White products than other companies in its sector. This can be seen from the vast business empire of Adenuga. ConOil is my own Mobil...We Ride and Die with Adenuga as he continues to expand his business empire. Meanwhile J. Berger is welcome. Which is no licence, Morgancapital, in case you're viewing....................................... You must, repeat, you must improve your on customercare service. Crude oil price always determine the direction of Nigeria stock. If the price of crude oil move up, stock price will move up, if the price fall stock price will fall. Incase if the price of crude oil fall below 40 dollar per a barrel, please sell your stocks and hold the cash, but if the price of crude oil move above 50 dollar please look for good stocks and buy. On Conoil, is like their result came out at a wrong time, if the crude oil price fall further again, I doubt they may not sustain their rally. Mainwhile, if all things been equal, and crude oil price move up from tomorrow as I wish and pray, that mean we are entering into the bull week, and massive bull period. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Brent Slips Below $45 As Glut Uncertainty Continues By Zainab Calcuttawala - Jun 22, 2017, 3:00 AM CDT Brent crude slipped below $45 on Wednesday, reaching its lowest price since last November as a supply glut continues to plague oil markets, according to a new report by Bloomberg . “There’s a sea of negativity," Maxwell Gold of ETF Securities LLC said. "This is much more a story of sentiment weighing on the markets." The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported a 2.5 million barrel draw on domestic inventories on Wednesday, but the news was not enough to boost West Texas Intermediate (WTI) prices, which have fallen 22 percent from a peak in January. “I don’t think one report by itself is enough to dispel the fears," Gene McGillian, manager for market research at Tradition Energy, said. "I would be surprised if this is the beginning of a turnaround." At the end of last month, Saudi Arabia announced a plan to lower exports to the U.S. to force American refineries to use the millions of barrels of crude in storage. A few days later, Bloomberg reported that Iraq had negated its ally’s export cut by offering its own crude as a substitute for Saudi supplies. 1 Like |

Chibuking81: If you guys follow these Oil fluctuations bumper to bumper it would cause panic in your portfolio is all I can say...Oil for 2016 would likely stay above $50, which is good for American Oil companies and OPEC. Pay little attention to electronic oil traders. US Economy is strong, Europe is picking up well and looking to end QE (see EUR/USD Chart - 6 months TF). Asia is not bad. Long term market stays bullish. Thank me later. I would worry about Oil/Stock Market when the US economy is weak, same with Europe Or shows signs of stagnancy. 1 Like |
