A dissappointing result from my own perspective.
Shareholders 'chopped' last year, this year might be for the real owner of the company to 'chop' too.
Bogus administrative and other expenses!
Time again for APR to overtake UCAP in quoted price on the NSE.

I never take your opinions on company results lightly.
Keep up the good work.
After each result, I normally wait for your microscopic analysis... grin
You are always finding trouble for management.... grin
Thanks a lot.

Why refer members to your blog when you can share the info for the benefit of all. We have good TA guys here (bullbearmkt, fxuser etc) who have and continue to freely share info with members without any pecuniary benefit. Ditto for the fundamentalists too...Please keep your support and resistance and strategy to yourself tongue...rubbish

No now. Don't do this. I think he means well. We shouldn't talk like this .Let's respect one another here. After all , he is still sharing valuable Information. He can't post all he has on the blog here. Pls we shouldn't be sarcastic.

Anyone who shares any piece of information here means well.

I do not think it is a disappointing results. Check the OCI, if this is factored the EPS will be 56k.

the available for sale which carries almost 1.4b in the OCI should denote the income from proprietary trading of the stockbroking arm

however the real question here should be "would the income be shareable (dividend) at the end of the year when the income is moved to P&L? considering that the fair value reserve is already in negative.

practicing accountants in the house could help out here as i am very rustic knowledge wise on its treatment

Caveat: im VERY heavy here

...if UCAP's Q2 results is not good, don't worry keep dumping your holdings...Smart monies (sentiment investors/traders) are ready to accumulate everything even at previous low in March!!!

...just been sarcastic!

The OCI to me represents available for sale equities or bonds THAT HAVE NOT BEEN liquidated yet. Paper profit. If they do not liquidate at year end, it is not transferrable

That was why i said from my own perspective.
I sold all my holdings in the company after the release of 2016 fy result for reason that has nothing to do with the company performance.,
I have been keeping my eyes on it for me to enter again at the right time and price. However the latest result has broaden my perspective about the company...

better insight and clarity, was only looking at the equity side of the business, totally agree with the "paper profit".

thank you

ucap had exceptional income last year from the sale of a subsidiary, and there is still over 14billion in retained profit. Ucap is also going to benefit from the transfer of the Etisalat to the banks, since they represent the banks as trustee. ucap, is drinking water.. no shakings..
