Their CEO was on CNBC either a week or two back. I listened to him. He said a lot.....like restructuring....all their assets being fully engaged in ongoing long term contracts and active in marine business. NB: This should not serve as an investment decision. Discl: I have few units here. |

With due regards, you are not fair to @samguru's remark on C&I leasing. We are all here to say our minds and reacts to every stock based on our perception/research/hearsay and thereafter do our DD. My own opinion however on C&I is positive for now, based on their current Q2 EPS of 35k. The only problem I perceived is that the stock may not be liquid on the long term (probably in 2 months time). I entered at 63k though with tasere units and hope to bail out as soon as I make 100%. 1 Like |

#MornPrep #GoodMorn Retracement or Reversal: Know the Difference Most of us have wondered whether a decline in the price of a stock we're holding is long term or a mere market hiccup. Some of us have sold our stock in such a situation, only to see it rise to new highs just days later. This is a frustrating and all too common scenario, but it can be avoided if you know how to identify and trade retracements properly. What Are retracements? Retracements are temporary price reversals that take place within a larger trend. The key here is that these price reversals are temporary, and do not indicate a change in the larger trend. Notice that despite the retracements, the long-term trend shown in this chart is still intact – that is, the price of the stock is still going up. . . . . . . . contd at link below . Niger Delta militants under the aegis of the Niger Delta Volunteers (NDV) have stated that arrangements have reached an advance stage with other agitators to declare a Sovereign Republic of Niger Delta (SRND) on October 1, 2017. Besides, the group has called on International Oil Companies (IOCs) to relocate to the region before the set date, failure, which would attract resumption of hostilities against oil and gas infrastructure in the region. These threats were contained in a statement signed by the leader of the group, General Ekpo Ekpo, and made available to The Guardian in Uyo yesterday. The self-acclaimed leader of the group, who frowned at the action of some Niger Delta leaders who recently met with Acting President Yemi Osinbajo under the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), said: “We totally condemn the recent meeting of PANDEF with the Acting President and wish to state clearly that the delegates from Akwa Ibom State to that meeting did so on their own because they did not consult with relevant groups and therefore cannot claim to speak for everybody in the region.” In another development, leaders of the Movement for Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in Delta South and Central Senatorial District have said the call for a referendum by IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu, is a belated issue, saying that the Biafra referendum had since been conducted before the United Nations (UN) in 2004. In a statement signed by MASSOB leaders, Joseph Odikpo and Pastor Francis Chigbo, the Elder In-Council and director of religious affairs, the body also described the call to boycott Anambra election in November this year as anti-Igbo, which should be condemned by well-meaning Igbo sons and daughters. https://t.guardian.ng/news/militants-set-october-1-deadline-to-declare-niger-delta-republic/ 3 Likes |

I have been in this forum since 2011. I also noticed that 90% of stocks that where over analysed have always Performed poorly or at best disappointed people. Example: Oando, FCMB, Unity Bank, Evens Med, FO, Mobil, etc. I have all my a whole year savings in Oando at N18 average price, but look at where I am now ...Lolz. But look at stocks that nobody gives thought to like : Okomu oil, Presco, GT Bank, Dansugar etc. So my lesson : I no longer follow the noise on any stock over analysed here, I go the opposite. Hence even as much as I like First Bank...I am not buying yet. DanFlour is also another am not buying. Please this is my personal opinion. 9 Likes |

Sir Pluto and the house, what do you see of Access Bank and UBA. Do you see any upside given their foundamentals? Same for Okomu oil. Buying winning stocks is the deal this year. No room for suckers. NB: I don't hold any piece of the aforementioned yet. |

ijinleoro: C&I is a stock with good prospect (has always been). My major concern is their incosistency over time. The profit in q2 can disaapear in the next quaters. It is instructive to note that the profit declared in last year audited account was from other income, foreing exchange gains which is not sustainable. They appear to be getting better going by the improvement in turnover, shareholder's fund, and retained earnings. Only time will tell if they are really out of the wood, though it might be too late then to take position NB; I have some tasere units here that i bought last week friday at N1 3 Likes |

PharmAlfred:I started buying UBA yesterday. I want it to open lower today so I can add more. I am buying ahead of interim dividend not just capital appreciation. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by pluto09(m): 10:07am On Aug 08, 2017 |
PharmAlfred: Coincidentally, the 3 stocks are on my buying lists. With the general state of the market, i consider access and uba at the current price as good bargains while we await their q2 result for further review. I have recommended okomu here when it was selling at a little above N50. With a strong q2 performance, the stock is still a buy at current price though, buying at a lower price will improve returns. NOTE; I dont buy stocks with the intention of making profit in one or two months neither do i use stop loss. THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION and is not a buy or sell recommendation. |

Tritri: Sir, I have not forgiven myself for not advising you against selling your Zenith Bank when you did. Please do not let history repeat itself. Even at 5.50, do not sell your DangFlour. Brokers are making tonnes of money off you with too many JIJO at such a low profit margin. It appears just when the stock is about to zoom northward, ur appetite for JO hits the roof top. Shame the devil this time pls. Thanks, #Brother'sKeeper
Mr. Tritri, thanks for heeding this advise. Are you happy with your Dangflour now? |

currentprice: I was about to comment on their cashflow, the key audit matters in the 2016 report says something about the risk of their trade receivables being impaired. Their trade receivables is about 24% of total assets which is material enough to have effect on profit if impairment charges are correctly applied. Also, for a company that wants to restructure, their operating expenses are up by 700%. A highly geared company should be run efficiently. 2 Likes |

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has condemned peddlers of a trending hate song denigrating Igbos, warning that the country risks relapsing into genocidal war, akin to what occurred in Rwanda in 1994. The former vice-president’s warning coincided with the failure of a 10-man committee of a coalition of Northern youths and Igbo leaders, over the expulsion notice given by some Northern youths to Igbos to leave the North by October 1, 2017, to reach an agreement Monday. “It has come to my attention that a song disparaging people of Igbo origin, and which wishes them dead, is circulating in some parts of the nation. I totally and unequivocally condemn this development, and I call on all men of goodwill to rise up against this evil,” he said in a statement. According to him, “This song is reminiscent of the beginning of the Rwanda genocide. Nigerians need to be aware that the Rwanda genocide was believed to have been ignited by a song titled ‘Nanga Abahutu (I hate Hutus)’ sung by Rwanda’s then most popular musician, Simon Bikindi. God forbid that we should have such a déjà vu in Nigeria. “I call on the security agencies to thoroughly and decisively swing into action and apprehend, try, convict and severely punish those behind this ungodly song which incites racial hatred.” https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2017/08/08/genocide-looms-atiku-warns-as-igbo-leaders-northern-youths-meeting-over-quit-notice-ends-in-deadlock/ |
