All hope is not lost.

This is to inform The Nigerian Stock Exchange as well as our Esteemed Stakeholders that we are experiencing a slight delay in the release of the 2017 Half Year Audited Financial Statements for Stanbic IBTC Holdings PLC (“Stanbic IBTC”).

This delay is occasioned by the fact that we are currently seeking the approval of our primary Regulator, the Central Bank of Nigeria (“CBN”) to the Half Year Audited Financial Statements, following which the said Financial Statements will then be released to the Market.

We are working diligently to ensure that our Company’s 2017 Half Year Results are published on Tuesday 29 August 2017 or within a few days thereafter.

please i ask dis question with all humility, why has a stock like lasaco not moved in price for years even though it reports earnings like other share, has an ok p/e ratio and ocasionally has thousands of volume?

We all know what bad managers did to Cadbury, Unilever, Union Bank, Unipetrol now known as Oando. In the case of Cadbury and Unilever more than 8 years after the bad managers the companies are yet to fully recover.

Calling them bad managers still feels like a glorification , there are "greedy b*******s" and the list would continue since no of them ever faces the wrath of the law. see what the likes of Mr Onasanya did to FBNH .... a few weeks ago I read how the former Skye bank MD bled the bank to coma...Despite these the society still exalts them! All these guy are walking free enjoying their loots! Why won't others do the same when they get there ??!

Sorry for my ranting ... just angry

Nigerian companies and bad managers....so difficult to trust any Nigerian company. corruption and greed is celebrated and is now the order of the day. personally prefer companies with foreign managers. There are so many who have not even been exposed

@ Dipoolowo please continue to post this information. It is useful to some person's analysis. It is left for us to carry out our individual due diligence.

My advice to newbies is to always ask questions. For example, "gurus in the house, please do you think trancsorp is good buy"? Trust me you will get good analysis to make your decision.

But remember profit is yours, therefore risk is yours.

Otherwise, pay a stockbroker to manage your account for you and study his stock picks until you are knowledgeable to trade yourself.

Not really! Anyway, you may have observed that they tend to pay more in interim than final. Whereas the reverse is the case for GTB!
The koko is the total dividend for the year.

The total dividend paid by Gtb for the year is far more than what stanbic pays. I still prefer Gtb.

The sell recommendations are belated. It should wait for another opportunity. It should rather be buy, instead of sell, at present. Expecially if you are a long-term investor.
