At the appointed time, Flourmills will come and pick people up at their respective bus stops. It's like a train station that runs in a loop. It will always run around to pick up passengers. Sometimes, it may veer off the loop, return to an earlier bus stop and then continue.

Never ever chase a moving train. E dey break head!

The price of Africa Prudential Plc was adjusted today, 13th March, 2018 for a dividend of N0.40 as declared by the board of directors. The last close price was N4.99 hence the ex-div price N4.59.

True, and its one of the dangers of buying into stocks trading at their 52 week high, if it reverses and one is caught in it, it may take another 52 weeks or more before one breaks even.

However, it's still a lot better chasing drowning trains since it can be quite difficult to predict when it will bottom out.

I had wanted to advise u against the risk inherent in this ur post, but then I felt it would be best to ask u to kindly go and read the book; REMINISCENCE OF A STOCK OPERATOR, if u are yet to do so.
...or pahaps try to help urself with a reminder of some of the core content if u've already read it in the past.

Just a sincere advise my dear.

Regards !!

Well, that has been my strategy and it has worked so far. Made me money in Transcorp, FBNH, almost got burnt in Access but I squeezed out. Noticed this temptation to always want to buy, couldn't sleep on money like people. Also didn't see any new breakout worth buying so I kept my money in DS and even that returned 10% as at close of trade yesterday...I wish I sold it self cheesy

I never buy stocks that are downtrending, don't care much about buying at the low, I target those making highs, collect my 6-10 percent after/before charges and move out.

I don't chase stock and will not advise anyone to do so.
However , those who understand TA very well will not mind chasing a moving train.

Yes, those who did not understand the game bought fidelity and transcorp near the 52 week high. You must admit that some actually bought at N1 and N1.40k and sold at N2.80k and N2.20k respectively. They have chopped round 1 clean month and are now waiting for the 2nd round while some are still keeping their money under pillow waiting for the market to crash by fire by force. grin cheesy

Read contributions and discussions here, buy Daily Independent newspaper on Mondays, read books by successful investors, be current about financial, business and economic news, I think with these you are good to go.

I never bought any of the the stocks he recommended, billions of Naira were lost in private placements and penny stocks hyped and promoted by the guy.

The guy made a hell of money, companies management paid the guy to hype their stocks on his radio and TV shows, also in his stock newspaper and monthly seminars around the country.
