When fidelity bank result came out, he was yabbing me that afterall the result was good.

But he forgot that the incentives (Dividends) to buy more was so little. He didn't bother to ask questions.

Now we know the reason and the market is doing well based on the reason.

This forum is not advisable for newbies. The old wines in the house were not helpful during this bearish run; they kept advising newbies to keep buying.Someone here even said with the rising price of oil we should expect the bulls to be back. Right now when I read comments of the old wines I grin because they don't know if to sell or to hold. I wish my fellow newbies a happy trading grin grin grin grin grin grin

With this rate of erosion, index may hit 30,000 quickly because of Dangote Cement even when other stocks are doing well.

Don't buy ooo...

Keep your money under the mattress.

Except if you want to check the water out by dipping one leg in (as in small fund).

Added some units today.
good Q1 result motivated me.
Anticipation of good Q2 result.
Anticipation of interim dividend.

25.90 wasnt a bad one following market reactions today.

...based on my opinion, it is a grave mistake. I assume you have a reason for your action. All the best sir.

-You should understand that no one can predict the mkt.
-Thats why you set up your loss limit and profit cap when u enter a trade
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by cdieli(m): 1:38pm On Jun 01, 2018
Yes old wines taste better than newbies because they know how to use the technical and fundamental analysis in quotes. What i noticed from majority of the old wines is that they come to promote the shares they just bought. Its just a few old wines like FXUSER who will give you a reason(fundamental and technical) why they selected a stock

There are some stocks you don’t buy immediately the market opens, Zenith is one of them.
It’s safe to wait till 2:pm before buying

My currently,
It's clear that the huge fall in todays index is ccasioned by a sharp drop in the price of DANGOTE CEMENT.
But just study the trend and u'll have an idea of what is currently playing out.
When the small caps were falling (driven mainly by the financial services sector), volumes were basically scanty while the big caps were relatively stable.
Now the small caps are rising (again mainly financial services), volumes have picked up a lot of momentum, while the big caps are now falling.
Well, I only have one interpretation to this scenario. ...and that is; We are indeed closer than ever to a trend reversal in the positive direction. ...the BULL is nearer than ever !! wink cheesy

...just my 2 cent.

When “old wines” are not God..
They can only do their best (TA & FA) but can’t say for sure what will happen the next day.

HOW ZENITH ALMOST TOOK ALL OF MY PROFIT FROM TRANSCORP AND OANDO
On 30th May, I remember buying 350,000 units of zenith bank at 26.2 because I thought the bull was around, more so that diamond, fidelity, fcmb and transcorp (among others) went on a sudden full bid. Minutes later, the bulls started losing strength so I immediately sold all the units at 26.10. At that point I was pained because of the loss and the broker's fees which all came up to almost 210,000 loss in just a few minutes.
Looking back now at the price of zenith bank(25.50) today, I have no regrets. I would have lost more than the dividend would have given me. I even think I can get it at 24.
