Another juju stock, cant really predict what the management could do.it has been doing fairly well in recent times, supported with good numbers.Does not really have too much competitors in its sector.Has been consolidating well around 4.00,thousands lucky to pick some at 3.87.A good end of year result to send it to the skies.

A very good company that went through a tough time in recent years.
They are back on good performance....
I have been waiting at N3.55 for weeks.....

The company actually went through a lot o,but it seem to be well structured now, with subsidiaries making good profit.
Picking some units at 3.90 would not be a bad idea, one can pick more when it get to that your junction(that's if it ever gets there).looking at its close year end, buying on a scale down would actually be better,so as not to miss out.
That your junction is just like waiting for zenithbank to get to 17 in january before buying

They are looking at the cloud and asking "Why". It is so revealing. Oga Peter has even seen that the market has changed, hence taking up stakes.

September was bullish. The bottom of the bear market was mid August as predicted.

Those who bought then, hold tight. The worst is over.

October, November will be very beautiful, ceteris paribus. I believe Christmas will come before December 25.

MARKET UPDATE FOR CLOSE OF 27 SEPT
Bears won the week, Allshare Index closed at 27368.84. A -0.05%, loss for the week. Fairly good outing for the investors (if you are on the right side OF THE MARKET).

If we consider today like a penalty shoot-out to determine the winner (bull or bear for the week), Dangem and MTN losing their kicks cause the bull to lose out.

18+ months of averaging down and I just kissed breakeven point in my journey @ Wapco..... In retrospect this was a stock begging people @ #10 earlier this year......... I still have a holding period of another 24 months....... I feel this year being an election year did not favor heavy weight producers..............Lots of bonds are being entered into by this govt and majority of this cash will go into infrastructure......ccecc is giving Julius Berger(heavily here too) big head ache but both have cement producer as customers........Also majority of normal construction works were paused to see the outcome of the elections........also great timing for wapco to use in clearing their books

My target is #44 after all some investors majorly foreign bought at this price

Any news on the progress of the new plant construction @ Ashaka........

This steady but subtle increase in price of wapco get as e be o........

Wapco would likely be the stock of the year in terms of % price increase.... already doing 33% with the current price.

I just hope Q3 doesn't disappoint.

On WAPCO? No way. They are coming from a loss from q3 last year. Having cleared a huge chunk of their loan, you can expect less expenditure on loan servicing.

good point though, but am talking about general sales.many companies will be hit ,most of their produce are consumed in other west African countries.Unilever factory at agbara is contemplating closing some units.Nigerians buy and take this goods to other west African countries to make a kill.no records, informal trade!

Most cement companies have actually done well this year in terms of capital appreciation(except for Dangcem -reasons not far fetched).Even ccnn has moved from10+ to 17 just this year, though units slightly bloated now,the company is also not doing bad, with huge market dominance in African countries close to the northern region.
The amount of money pumped by the government into construction ,housing usually reflects/impacts on corresponding stocks on NSE, unlike agriculture where amount pumped into it hardly reflects on corresponding stocks, on NSE,if not livestock feeds, okomu, presco should be doing better than what we are seeing presently.

This year might actually be the "Cement year" grin

Agri business has been corned by the big boys of this world, the likes of cargill, archer&daniels, mosanto, Bayer, BASF.............The likes of flourmills, olam and dangote cannot take this guys on....... that is why i keep sifting info to find out if the likes of these guys are taking positions in our Nigerian companies............Take a look @ what mondolez is doing with cadbury.......I hardly see people drink bournvita, bulk of the cacao beans are exported to get the profits......I atimes imagine just mosanto or BASF aquire a controlling stake in okomu os presco, trustme if u see the stock for #1000,u will thank God

Will Guaranty Trust Bank Re-test 26.80 Support Level?
From creating a higher-high, the stock price is now heavily declining and there is high probability of the stock re-testing between 26.50 and 26.80 before making any upward reversal attempt.
